Terms of Service

1. The service

Frienddix is a free, real-time multilingual chat. There is no registration, username, or password: you pick a nickname and a preferred language, and you can start talking right away. Messages are automatically translated into each reader's language.

2. Acceptable use

By using Frienddix you agree not to:

• post unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or violent content;
• share spam, scams, malware, or unsolicited advertising;
• impersonate other people or publish their personal data without consent;
• disrupt the service or attempt to access it in unauthorized ways.

3. Content and moderation

Messages are public to anyone who joins the same room. Created room codes may remain listed publicly on the home page even when nobody is online, together with live participant and visible-message totals. You are solely responsible for what you write. An automatic anti-spam filter blocks messages containing links, email addresses, repeated texts, or known spam content before they are published; filtered messages simply do not appear. We may remove content or block access that violates these terms, without prior notice.

4. Translations

Translations are generated automatically by free machine-translation services and reviewed by an artificial-intelligence service; they may contain errors or inaccuracies. A limited number of new translations is available each day: when the limit is reached or the services are unavailable, messages are shown in their original language. Do not rely on translations for legal, medical, or safety-critical communications.

5. No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee continuous availability, message retention, or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from the use of the service.

6. Age and capacity limits

Frienddix is intended for people aged 16 or older. Rooms hold up to 30 people and the service runs a limited number of rooms at a time, so access may be temporarily unavailable. Messages stop being available to read 24 hours after they are sent. Automatic cleanup runs once every 24 hours, at 00:07 UTC, and deletes messages older than 24 hours together with their cached translations. Stored records may therefore remain until the next daily cleanup (normally less than 48 hours after sending). Each room shows a countdown during the 10 minutes before cleanup; only messages older than 24 hours are deleted, not the entire conversation. The chat is not a storage service.

7. Changes

We may update these terms at any time; the current version is always available on this page. Continued use of Frienddix after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
